Councils and parking
Berkshire's councils are all unitary, so one council handles planning, parking enforcement and H-bar markings. H-bar fees vary a lot: £78 to apply in Reading, £100 plus £75 a metre in Wokingham, and £291 in West Berkshire. In Ascot, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead sends blocked driveways to the police on 101.
Earley and Woodley are in Wokingham Borough, not Reading, parts of Calcot and Tilehurst are in West Berkshire, and most of North Ascot is in Bracknell Forest. Each town page links to the right council.

Questions
Is Earley and Woodley Reading or Wokingham?
Wokingham. Earley and Woodley are in Wokingham Borough, even though most people think of them as Reading, so planning and parking go to Wokingham Borough Council.
Do you charge more for Ascot or Hungerford?
No. They are our furthest Berkshire towns, about 40 and 45 minutes from our base, and they pay the same as Basingstoke, with no call-out charge.
What does an H-bar cost in Berkshire?
It depends on the council: £78 to apply in Reading, £100 plus £75 a metre in Wokingham, and £291 for a standard drive in West Berkshire. Bracknell Forest charges the resident the full cost.
