Bollards and Parking Posts for Commercial Sites

Car parks, flats, yards, shop fronts and shared parking across Hampshire, Berkshire and the Surrey border. We survey your site, measure it out and talk you through the options before we quote.

  • Stop unauthorised parking in allocated bays
  • Secure vans, plant and vehicles overnight
  • Protect buildings, charge points and walkways from vehicles
  • Control who can get in and out

Every commercial job starts with a site survey.

No two commercial sites are the same

A home drive can be priced from a photo. A car park, a yard or a block of flats can't. Sites are bigger, surfaces vary, and how people and vehicles move around them matters.

So we come out, walk the site with you and measure it properly. Then we sit down with you and go through what would work, what wouldn't, and why. You get a written quote for the option you choose.

What we look at

  • Where vehicles enter, park, turn and leave
  • Where people walk, and what needs protecting
  • The ground: tarmac, concrete, block paving or gravel
  • Who needs keys, and how often posts are used
  • Emergency and delivery access
  • Buried services, checked before we dig

The options we'll talk you through

Each type does a different job. At the survey we'll recommend the right one for each spot on your site, and it's often a mix.

Telescopic (retractable) bollards

A steel post that lowers into a sleeve in the ground and locks up with a key. Flush when down, so you can drive over it.

Best for
Entrances opened every day, reserved bays, securing vehicles
Fitting
Cored and set in concrete

Heavy-duty telescopic

A reinforced, larger post, with Sold Secure Gold rated options, for when the vehicle behind it is worth a lot.

Best for
Vans, fleet vehicles, plant and high-value cars
Fitting
Cored and set in concrete

Lift-assist bollards

A telescopic post with a lift-assist mechanism, so you lift a fraction of its weight. Kinder on staff who raise and lower it often.

Best for
Posts used several times a day
Fitting
Cored and set in concrete

Fold-down parking posts

A hinged post that folds flat when unlocked and locks upright. Quick to fit and simple to use. Ask us about keying options for several posts.

Best for
Allocated bays, flats, staff parking
Fitting
Bolted to the surface, or set in concrete

Removable bollards

A post that lifts out of a ground socket and is held in place with a lock. Take it out when you need the route open.

Best for
Occasional access, maintenance and emergency routes, pedestrian areas
Fitting
Socket set in concrete

Static (fixed) bollards

Permanent posts that don't move. A clear, physical line vehicles can't cross.

Best for
Building corners, shop fronts, walkways, utility boxes
Fitting
Set in concrete or bolted down

Impact protection and flexible posts

Surface-mounted posts and guards, some designed to flex and spring back after a knock.

Best for
Warehouses, loading bays, racking, under-cover car parks
Fitting
Bolted down

EV charger protection

Posts or hoops placed to keep bumpers off charge points without getting in the way of the cable.

Best for
Workplace, retail and residential charging bays
Fitting
Set in concrete or bolted down

Hoop barriers and guard rails

Low hoops and rails that mark edges and protect walls, plant and planting from vehicles.

Best for
Car park edges, building walls, cycle and bin stores
Fitting
Set in concrete or bolted down

We fit manual bollards. We don't currently fit automatic or powered bollards, or crash-rated (PAS 68) security systems.

From first call to fitted

You tell us about the site, we come and measure it, and you get options and a written price.

  1. Tell us about the site

Call, WhatsApp or email with the address and what you want to solve.

  2. Site survey

We walk the site with you and measure out where posts would go.

  3. Options and a written quote

We go through the options with you, then confirm the price in writing.

  4. Fitted

Call, WhatsApp or email us and we'll arrange a time to come out. It helps if you can tell us:

  2. What kind of site it is
  3. What you want to solve
  4. Roughly how many bays, entrances or areas
  5. Good days and times for a visit

Photos are welcome, but we always visit before we quote a commercial job.

Questions businesses ask us

Can you price a commercial job from photos?

No. Commercial sites vary too much for photos to do them justice, so we always survey and measure out first. Photos still help us plan the visit.

What happens at the survey?

We walk the site with you, look at the surfaces, access and how vehicles and people move around it, and measure where posts would go. Then we talk you through the options and confirm a price in writing.

Can several posts work on one key?

It depends on the post. Ask us at the survey and we'll tell you the keying options for the posts you're considering.

Do you fit automatic bollards?

No. We fit manual bollards and parking posts only.

Do we need planning permission?

Not usually for posts on private land. Listed buildings, conservation areas and anything near the public highway can be different, and we'll flag it at the survey.

Do you charge VAT?

No. We're not VAT registered, so there's no VAT on our invoice.

Are you insured?

Yes. We're fully insured, with £5 million public liability cover.
