RecommendedMedium Stainless Steel Telescopic Bollard
Our recommended post. At 710mm tall and 101mm across, it has far more presence on the drive than a 500mm post. The brushed stainless outer is reinforced with a 5mm steel inner sleeve, and the post goes a full metre into the ground. It suits most cars and SUVs.
Height
Fixed price confirmed in writing the same working day. Not VAT registered, nothing added on top.
Why choose this post
- Taller and wider than a standard post, so it's hard to miss
- Brushed stainless outer with a 5mm steel inner sleeve
- Set a full metre into the ground
- Suits most cars and SUVs
This post weighs about 18kg to lift. If that's too much, the stainless lift-assist bollard is the same height class with about a 6kg lift.

How we fit it
We set the sleeve 1,000mm into the ground, in concrete. One post takes about two hours, and we'll confirm timings with your price.
We fit into block paving, tarmac, resin, concrete and most other hard surfaces. Gravel is fine too. Send a photo of your drive and we'll confirm it's suitable before we fix the price.
Questions about this post
How much is the medium stainless steel telescopic bollard fitted?
£995 for the first post, fully fitted, and £945 for each extra post on the same job. We're not VAT registered, so there's nothing added on top.
How heavy is it to lift?
You lift about 18kg. If lifting is a struggle, look at our lift-assist bollards.
How deep does it go into the ground?
The sleeve goes 1,000mm into the drive and is set in concrete. We scan for buried cables and pipes before we dig, and move the position if we find one.
What if I lose a key?
It comes with two keys, and we can supply replacements or change the lock.
Can I have more than one?
Yes. Each extra post on the same job is £50 less, because most of the cost is getting to you, scanning and setting up. Two or three posts are usually done in a morning.
